Confirming our report last week, Facebook has just announced a major new feature that it’s launching in tandem with Skype: video calling.

Acer unveils world's thinnest laptop

Acer has unveiled the world's thinnest laptop at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

The Aspire S5, backed by a $300 million (£194m) investment from Intel, measures in at just 15mm thick with a 13.3" screen.

The Aspire S5, released under Acer's Ultrabooks line, is powered by an Intel 22nm Ivy Bridge processor and includes HDMI and USB3 support. Full hardware specs and pricing details are yet to be confirmed.

Facebook snapped up the hugely popular photo-sharing app Instagram Monday, for roughly $1 billion in a combination of cash and stock.
